Sensei Simon Ogden

 

Simon has a 2nd Dan (black belt) in Judo, as well as grades in Shorinji Kan Ju Jitsu, Aikido & Olivecrona Ju Jitsu.

Simon is a Judo New Zealand accredited C2 Club Coach.


Simon teaches with a great pinch of humour and a large splash of the inner child. He has been coaching Ju Jitsu for over 15 years and Judo for 10 years, and instills a great passion for these arts in his students. He is inspired in the pursuit of Judo, Ju Jitsu and Aikido by his peers and instructors; such as Sten Olivecrona, Paul Huston, Tony Schaufelberger, Graham Rogers, Rick Littlewood, Cameron Clarke and Patrick Toner.
 

Sensei Daniel Chu

 

Dan is a 1st Dan (black belt) in Judo starting back in 2002 in Palmerston North under Sensei Murray Boase and Sensei Hiro Matsue, but doing the majority of his training under Sensei Pat Toner and Sensei Cameron Clarke at Wellington Judo & Ju Jitsu Academy.

 

Dan has competed in Judo since 2004 both in New Zealand and Japan, and he is an accredited C1 assistant coach and is currently awaiting to attend the next C2 coaching course from Judo New Zealand.

 

Dan has a good understanding of tournament and "street" Judo after his many competition and his work as a local Police Officer, he brings this knowledge to our Adult Judo classes where everyone loves being on the receiving end of his smiley pain.

Sensei Stuart Harvey

 

Stuart is a 1st kyu (brown belt) in Judo starting back in 2008 at the Masterton Judo & Ju Jitsu Academy.

 

Stuart has competed in Judo since 2008 in New Zealand, and he is currently working on his C1 assistant coach accreditation.

Sensei Foppe De Vries

 

Foppe is a 1st kyu (brown belt) in Judo starting back in 2009 at the Masterton Judo & Ju Jitsu Academy.

 

Foppe is currently working on his C1 assistant coach accreditation.
